Why Sankofa Art?

Sankofa or "SAN"  (return), "KO"  (go), "FA" (look, seek and take) has a literal translation of "it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind.".  This meaning is the driving force behind our company.  Borrowed from the Akan language, people from the Akan kingdom believe the past serves as a guide for planning the future.  We intertwine this belief in everything we do.  We believe our past gives us strength, purpose, and helps guide us towards a more prosperous future.
