Kwesi Sarkodie..is the son of Mrs. Margaret Otuo Acheampong and Late Elder Otuo Acheampong Pual. Ashanti Bonwire is the town  where his father comes from and is where he completed both nursery and junior high schools at Nana Antobre International school. Not only is Bonwire a place of upbringing for Kwesi, but it is also the place where the well known "Kente" clothe was orignated. Kwesi's father was one of the best Kente designers and dealers throughout the Ashanti region and was known for designing and making Kente cloth for Kings, New couples, Politicians and great people. Bonwire is also the birthplace of Kwesi's desire to start his art career. Early in his art career, Kwesi had a dream of making designs for his father's business. His dream came true and he started making his own Kente designs.  During his travels to Accra to sell his Kente works, he got the idea of painting to supplement his income.  Kwesi honed his painting skills by painting room designs and on canvases.  As he gained skill and confidence he based his paintings on African culture and history. His passion is painting. After settling in Accra, with little to no money, Kwesi slept at an art centre and eventually made enough money to rent a kiosk with his good friend Nd.

Unfortunately, Kwesi's father, his childhood hero, became seriously ill and succumbed to his sickness.  This experience left Kwesi without the much needed support he needed to grow as a person and as a professional.  But Kwesi persevered through his trials and tribulations and ultimately became the artist that he is today.

Kyei Rendolf found himself living on the streets of Accra.  This is where he learned to hone his artistic craftsmanship; painting and weaving.  His passion was born. Kyei started his early education in the capital of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi, at Bonwireman Elementary School.
